So ready, so ready, Boy o boy am I ready!!!
Hardly two days of frost, the first loonies are already venturing out on the ice, but I too must confess: in three weeks time I expect an Elfstedentocht. Yes indeed, the Eleven Cities Skating Marathon! Don't try to reason with me... It's no use, Jack Frost has frozen my rationality, despite the chullo! All signs point in one direction. Even Jeen van den Berg says so (1:05): "You people don't know it yet (...), but in three weeks time we'll have the real thing! Because it's starting to freeze..."

Na krap twee dagen vorst, wagen de eerste gekken zich alweer op het ijs, maar ook ik moet bekennen: over drie weken verwacht ik een Elfstedentocht. Jazeker, een Elfstedentocht! Probeer me maar niet tot rede te brengen... Het heeft geen zin, koning Winter heeft mijn denkvermogen bevroren, ondanks mijn muts! Alle tekenen wijzen in dezelfde richting. Zelfs Jeen van den Berg zegt het (1:05) :

The Race of Races will be held soon!

De Tocht der Tochten komt!

And not just the film.

Because I wanted daylight pictures of this tree, I took a long walk through our Leeuwarden and I took a few more pictures on the way.

Omdat ik daglicht foto's van de boom wilde hebben, heb ik een lange wandeling door Leeuwarden gemaakt en onderweg nog een paar foto's gemaakt.

Het is inmiddels december en ik ben al aardig in de kerststemming! Dus Heb ik mijn schaar gepakt en ben ik heul veul sneeuwvlokken van papier gaan knippen. Als je zelf ook sneeuwvlokken wil maken, hier is een goeie site. Printen, knippen en klaar is Klara!

For one of my smaller and younger friends, I made this cute little jumper with 125 grams of Zeeman Royaal and needle 4.0(mm). The pattern is #25 Baby Blue by Jil Eaton, published in Knit Simple Magazine, Holiday 2008.

The only thing I tweaked on the pattern: I knitted it in the round to prevent grafting... :D

Voor een kleiner en jonger vriendje heb ik dit lieve truitje gemaakt van 125 gram Zeeman Royaal met pen 4(mm). Het patroon is #25 Baby Blue van Jil Eaton, uitgegeven in Knit Simple Magazine, Holiday 2008.

Het enige wat ik anders gedaan heb: Ik heb hem rondgebreid om naaien te voorkomen... :D
