Last Sunday grannie died at the respectable age of 85 years. She had been ill for some time and I am relieved her suffering has ended. Yet, at the same time, it hurts me deeply and I wish we could spend more time knitting together.
Zondag is oma overleden op de respectabele leeftijd van 85 jaar. Ze was al enige tijd ziek en ik ben opgelucht dat haar lijden is opgehouden. Tegelijkertijd steekt de pijn diep en zou ik willen dat we samen nog eens konden breien.

Birthday Socks Part Two
The deadline beat me! Fortunately we had bought back-up gifts. Birthday boy was very pleased with these and the fun part is: he still doesn't know anything about these socks, so in a couple of days he'll be celebrating again. ;o)
It's a ladybug hotel and something to feed little birds in your garden. When I have given the socks, I'll put up the socks pictures.
Ik heb het net niet gehaald! Maar gelukkig hadden we back-up cadeautjes, waar de jarige ook heel erg blij mee was. Het leuke is dat hij nog steeds van niks weet, dus over een paar dagen is hij weer jarig. ;o)
Het is een lieveheersbeestje-huisje en wat vetbollen in pot voor de vogeltjes. Zodra ik de sokken bezorgd heb, zal ik sokkenfoto's posten.

What I saw last Saturday night
Vuilnisman door Brigitte Kaandorp uit de theatershow 'ZO'
Last Saturday, I went to Brigitte Kaandorp in our local theatre 'De Harmonie' ! We had an awesome night, she is so incredibly funny!!!
Unfortunately for my English readers, the video is in Dutch.
Roughly translated she sings: " Hip Hi, There comes the garbage guy! With his good, very big green lorry... Hip Hi, There comes the garbage guy! O, why doesn't he come every day..." And than she sums up - with a lot of word jokes - all the things he takes away for her. It's hilarious!

Afgelopen zaterdag ben ik naar Brigitte Kaandorp in 'De Harmonie' geweest! Geweldige avond gehad, ze is zooooo grappig!

A 'little' secret?
Psssst.......! Can you keep a 'little' secret?
I say 'little' 'cause these feet are huge. Size 10.5/11/45 (English/American/European) and these secret birthday socks need to be finished on Februari 7! I am about to finish the first sock...AAAAAAAArrrggg, only four and a half day!!! :-D

Ik zeg 'klein' omdat deze voeten enorm zijn. Maat 45 en de deadline voor deze geheime verjaardagssokken ligt op 7 februari! Ik heb nu bijna de eerste sok af...AAAAAAAAArrrggg, nog vier en een halve dag!!! :-D
